The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch forms part of a global network of volunteers, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The Movement is a worldwide humanitarian organization present and active in almost every country, having more than 100 million members. As members of this International Movement we believe in mobilizing the power of humanity to improve the lives of vulnerable people and take pride in the work done by our volunteers in the achievement of our mission.
For this purpose and through its dedicated volunteers, the branch’s work include: the provision of first aid and ambulance service; emergency preparedness and response activities; training of volunteers and the general public; supporting local civil protection and health authorities. Our Ambulances The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch has two ambulances to help them out in their activities: RA1 and RA2. |  | Our Pick up The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch has a pick up which is used for rescue but most importantly used for transporting heavy equipment which will help them in their rescue operations.
| | Our Quad Bike The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch has a quad bike which is primarily used as back up vehicle for ambulances to access large mass activities. This was launched on Saturday 4th April 2009 during the Lufthansa Teknik Official opening.
|  | Fun Activities The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch organises various fun activities for its volunteers. Some of these activities include abseiling, bike rides, karting and paint ball.
|  | Courses The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch offers a number of courses. The picture shows the participants which took part in the E.F.R.C course which ended with a simulation exercise on Saturday, 25th April 2009. | | Training The Malta Red Cross - First Malta Branch also gives on-going training to its volunteers.
